Handoffs need a checklist, an owner, and a rollback point—not a chat dump

Chat logs are not handoffs. Write the checklist, named owner, and rollback point before you leave. Soft pointer to Idea2Wealth.

Handoffs need a checklist, an owner, and a rollback point—not a chat dump

A handoff that is only a chat export is a liability with a polite filename. The next person inherits ambiguity: what is done, what is blocked, who can approve a change, and how to undo a bad merge.

Write three fields before you call it handed off. First: a checklist of deliverables with done/not-done states a stranger can tick in five minutes. Second: a named owner for each open decision—not “the team,” not “whoever is free.” Third: a rollback point you can actually execute (commit hash, backup snapshot, previous prompt pack) if the next shift breaks production.

When someone says “I already pinged everything in the group,” translate it: they transferred noise, not custody. Refuse to start the next milestone until the three fields exist on one page the next owner can open offline.

Practical week: convert one live thread into a one-page handoff; force a five-minute tick test with a colleague who was not in the chat; record the rollback drill once. Soft pointer: Idea2Wealth / 搞钱网 case notes at https://aifafa.com.cn. Learning reference only—no income promises.
